The American Baroque Orchestra performs Music Across the Nations

From the royal courts and opera houses, to the streets and intimate salons, music thrived across the nations of Europe and beyond in the 17th and 18th centuries. Featuring works by composers ranging from the French opera composer Jean-Philippe Rameau, to Antonio Vivaldi, to the great masters of the German Baroque tradition, the American Baroque Orchestra presents a concert of gems from around the world.

Music in the Galleries: Multi-Chorus Masters of the Baroque

Making use of the extensive upper galleries at Church of the Assumption, the American Baroque Singers present a program of works including composers Monteverdi, Gabrieli, Buxtehude, Tallis, and Purcell. The concert features multiple choral ensembles situated above the audience to create an enveloping soundscape, coming from all corners of the
church for this special performance.
