About the Director of Development and Planning

Director of Development and Programming Sherie Bush recently relocated to the northeast and joined the American Baroque Orchestra (ABO) in 2017, volunteering her talents as Director of Development and Planning. An attorney by training, she also has extensive non-profit experience working with performing arts groups and music institutions in Atlanta, Georgia, where she practiced law for many years She is the former Chairman of the Board and Development Director of the Atlanta Lyric Theatre (formerly the Southeastern Savoyards), served on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Academy of Music, and also volunteered in the Development Office of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Sherie earned her J.D. and B.A. degrees from Emory University, where she double-majored in Political Science and Music, and studied classical piano.

Sherie Bush first collaborated with American Baroque Orchestra's debut performance in Chatham, Massachussetts, featuring the program "Voyage to the Colonies." Sherie's continuous efforts on behalf of ABO bring audiences into meaningful contact with the vibrant, living
sounds of the 17th, 18th, and early 19th centuries
through all kinds of fascinating projects!
